Avandia Medicine is used to treat type 2 diabetes, I had tremendious swelling in my feet and legs, once I quite it my legs and feet returned to normal, but I am taking nothing and my sugar is again in the 200′s
I have type 2 diabetes, my feet were swelled very bad 2 different doctors , could not figure out what was causing it , Cardio put me on lasix, We had seen all the bad press about avandia onTV, so I tried to talk to doctor about avandia, he said it was just a lot of press hype, but my family wanted me to quite it so I did . My swelling went away. but I want to know do I have other damage from taking this.

I am aware that obesity can lead to type 2 diabetes. But, is it possible for a person to become obese because they have type 2 diabetes?
If yes, please include evidence and the source of your evidence in your answer.

ive just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, im seeing the nurse regular and has asked me to drop a urine test off at the surgery, to check if my kidneys are ok, im 32 and feel healthy and i just wanted to know will my kidneys be ok or will they phone me and say they have packed up, or am i being paranoid, im doing everything ive been told, diet, excersise e.tc, ?

what is the difference between type -1 and type -2 diabetes? How is it found in blood, urine samples? How does treatment differ for type-1 and type-2 diabetes?

Lets say ive developed diabetes type 2 within the last few weeks. How could a 90 day a1c matter? Its averaging the last 90 days. So if I was okay 90 days ago,but got worse recently, how would that effect the a1c?

I’m basically asking because my a1c is 5.6 yet I have all the symptoms of type 2 diabetes.

Ive just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and still educating myself .What is a normal blood sugar level for non diabetic and diabetics ? Im taking Metformin now , how does that help .Am I going to need to quit using alcohol and tobacco ?

I went into the ER today to get some anitbotics for Swimmer’s Ear. While I was waiting for the prescriptions. A nurse came in and pricked my finger. The gluclose level came out to be 314.

So another nurse told me, bluntly, that I have diabetes. He didn’t say which type but the doctor who came in after him seemed to confirm my suspicion that it’s type 2.

Diabetes is strong on both sides of my family so it’s not that the thought didn’t occur to me but I’m scared shitless right now.

I want to know when I go see my regular doctor tomorrow will I be put into the hositpal?
I’ve always had high levels. In the 200′s or something.

Also I had just eaten dinner (I expected to be at the ER for a few hours and hadn’t eaten anything)

So I will need more tests to back it up? That’s reassuring.

i was just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and was taken N.O. Explode, pre-work out supplement, does not have sugar, but had other vitamins. does taking it effect my sugar…

my dad.. middle 50′s was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. He has to make lifestyle changes and is doing a good job at changing what he eats.
Is it fair that everyone else in this house has to give up their favorite foods and start eating things that taste like cardboard?
He is quite the controlling "man" of the house and its like we have to follow whatever he wants.
I realize being supportive and eating the dinners he makes and saying they taste good and we all like it, but what if thats a lie?
We all grew up on I guess you can call, "not so healthy" foods. I think its selfish he expects 4 other family members to not eat what we like anymore.
maybe I’m the selfish one.

ty Mike. and we do all "try" what he does make. and some of them are actually really good. I dont know much about type 2 diabetes.
Its just the fact he expects everyone to change. like an alcoholic who has quit and everyone around him cant drink. ? hope that makes sense.

I understand why type 1 diabetes patients need to inject insulin, but why for type 2 ?
under type 2, there is a production of insulin but (frankly speaking) its useless, at least that is what I think type 2 diabetes is….

I’m only guessing "the more Insulin one has, the better glucose goes in the cell" or " the patient injects insulin that is suitable for type to diabetes"

My dad was just diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes this week and we now have to alter his entire diet. I still do not know much about the disease so I need help. We want to have a complete Thankgiving with Turkey and Side dishes he can eat. Maybe even a dessert. Do you know any recipes or good websites?

well i’m 14, and not entirly sure whats wrong with me, if anything. Latley i have been feeling strange when i eat sweet foods, and im not sure if i am just neing paranoid, i cant remember how i came arross the conclusion of diabetes, because i didn’t know any of the symptoms/signs. But after reading about it i have come to realise my breath has a slight smell to it, even after i brush and mouthwash. Its like tinned sweetcorn in a way, but i have been taking ibuprofen due to a recent operation i had and i hear that, that can have a effect. I havnt noticed much of the other symptoms apart from i do have blurry vision from time to time, but my eyes just water a lot, but i’m still worried i have type 2 diabetes because both my nan and grandad have it and i often eat junk food, do you think i have it or am i just over thinking? I am going to the doctor, next monday but i havnt told my mum the reason just said i wanted to go and check i didnt need anymore jabs or anything (im very independant btw :L) but also the only thing stopping me from going completly wack about it is the fact, i read that the sufferes are USUALLY either overweight, over 40, do not do a lot of excerise ect, non of which are particulary like me. please just give me your opinion on what you think

thought it would be fine after birth since then,I have been getting frequrent urination,extreme thirst alot especially after big carb meals,My family has a strong background of type 2 diabetes,Also does hyperglycemia turn into diabetes? THanks All:)

i had a concussion around 3 months ago and i quit gymnastics… iv had some excersize but iv been eating a bad diet and alot more sugar than i usually would have… would that be enugh or tht amount of time to get me diagnosed with type 2 diabetes?
