How much does a blood test cost to detect pregnancy if I don’t have insurance? Does planned parenthood offer blood tests and how much do they cost there?

I had a busy 25 week appointment yesterday. I am feeling extremely nauseous today. I have felt this way off and on through out the pregnancy, but I felt better for a few weeks. Is it a coincidence of did one of these things cause it?

I have failed the 1 hour glucose test twice. I am taking the 3 hour on Friday. I am wondering what I should expect in my pregnancy if I fail. Has anyone failed the 1hour and passed the 3 hour? I’m on the 3 day diet, and I feel fine normally. I just dont want to have to worry about harm coming to my baby after no complications thus far.

The test strip has two sections, one showing if your positive for white blood cells, and the other nitrite. I only got positive for white blood cells, not nitrite. Can this mean i’m pregnant? i’ve heard that during pregnancy you can have increased white blood cells…

i was at the dr yesterday for my 33 week checkup and they informed me that after my 3 hour glucose tolerance test it came back high and that i have gestational diabetes again(had it in a previous pregnancy)i dont have to do the diabetic counceling because i have been through it before but they want me to check my sugar 3 times a day.i already have a glucose monitor machine.my question is since i forgot to ask lol is since i am on medicaid(i live in florida) will medicaid cover the lancets and strips that you put your blood on or is that out of pocket?and would i need a prescription from the dr for those strips.the last time the diabetic councelor just gave me the machine and everything that went with it but that was 5 years ago.thanks

I am on my 4th pregnancy and I have never had any problems with gestational diabetes before. I am so busy and so tired, do I have to do this? I feel fine, I don’t eat sweets and I eat very healthy.

I started my last period on the 21st of January so the days I ouvlated were the 28th-31st (so said the ovulation chart…) My husband and I had sex during those days. I really thought I could be pregnant. But I was in the emergency room on Feb. 4th (I have an ovarian cyst I thought ruptured), they drew blood then sent me to get a CT scan. They never told me what the blood results were but I assumed they were negative because they didnt say anything and I had the test. So my qestions are this: 1- Could I be pregnant and the blood test not show it? 2- If that was the case, could the CT hurt the baby?
The doctors knew we were trying so I assumed they tested for pregnancy with the blood but they did take urine too so they could have just tested with that. I know I should have asked more questions but I was in too much pain to think

I was just wondering how early can a blood test detect a positive pregnancy? I know that a blood test is a more accurate way to test for pregnancy so I was just curious how early it can pick it up. I know the earliest you can test on a urine is five days before a missed period but wtih a blood test is it about the same?

How soon can a blood test confirm pregnancy? I have to go to the doctor tomorrow because of an injured ankle, but I’ll only be 6 dpo and 21 days into my cycle. I would just like to know if I’m pregnant before getting any kind of x-ray or medication.

came back negative for pregnancy but my period is 2 weeks late, and i have 80% of the symptoms,,,havent taken a home test yet however…is it possible for the blood test to have been wrong? they said they were gonna test through urine as well but they never took my sample to test it????? when would a blood test be most accurate?
ok if i take prenatal vitamins and im not pregnant would that give me a false positive?

I have recently (within the past 2 months) been diagnosed with Type1 Diabetes – I am 36 yrs old. I am considering pregnancy for which my Endo said he would support, however, I am concerned about the risks. Looking for insight/advise – anyone who has had a pregnancy with Type 1 or knows of someone. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

I am 7 weeks pregnant now and tomorrow will be my first appt with the OB Nurse. I called the receptionist today to ask about what they take the urine and blood tests for. Receptionist checked with one nurse and told me that the urine is done for any bladder infections, and the blood tests are done for anemia, sugars, see how much iron we have,basically tells them what tests they will have to administer of mine in this pregnancy.
I asked if they determine pregnancy, then receptionist said that they already know I am pregnant and don’t take the urine and blood to determine that. I did ask the receptionist to make sure I can take a urine test that proves to them I am pregnant, she said yes she can give me a strip tester and I can pee on it. Is that all that you ladies remember from that first nurse checkup?

I’m back from my second consult with the RE. After doing a month of tests, everything appears normal. However, he thinks my glucose might be too high (87) compared with my fasting insulin (4) and wants me to try Avandia to help regulate ovulation.

Im really confused b/c neither of those numbers were flagged as high, and I do suspect I have irregular ovulation but have no signs of PCOS. My BIG worry is that Avandia is Category C in pregnancy, so wth!? I dont want to risk birth defects on what appears to be a shot in the dark. Anyone have any insight? I’ve also heard that it causes weight gain and my RE said he wanted me to gain 5 pounds which may be an ulterior motive of his. This is also nuts to me becuase I am 5’8" and 138 lbs– hardly a waife! And it took me two years to lose the weight from my first pregnancy (concieved without help) so Im devastated at the thought of putting it back on.

Any advice out there? I dont know what to do.

i have heard about doing a blood test to check pregnancy. Is that more accurate than the urine test? how long does it take to get the result?

I just bought the Danone Silhouette 0+. On the pakaging it says no aspartame so I figured that it was safe, but now it is marked that it is made with Splenda. (14mg for 100g) is that still safe for pregnancy
