Help! Need answers to project questions!?

Ok so i am doing a huge project on nutrition and diabetes. I need to know a few things. 1…how does changing an ingredient in a recipe affect a diabetic? 2…is it more expensive to eat being a diabetic? and lastly, how can you take out sugar/add it without it affecting glucose levels? Any info on this topic would help. I need to write a paper, and need any advice, or experiences! Also, if you are a diabetic, what are some of your favorite foods to eat and make? Thanks!!

White bread is a simple?

Quote White bread is a simple starch that converts to sugars easily. It has little nutrition. A whole grain bread is better. It has fiber and more nutrients.Quote

What is simple starch and conplex starch ? Does it have alot of sugar in it than brown bread? If people have diabetes should one eat bread?

Quote Mashed potatoes means taking the peel (fiber and most of the vitamins) off the potato, boiling it, and adding butter and milk or cream. So you remove the best parts and add fat. Quote

Why do you need to add butter and milk or cream to it?

But that its good to feed apple & carrot to Syrians (I feed my Syrian these occasionally as a treat). Is that because of the natural high sugar content in these foods becuase of diabetes, or would there be another reason?
The website info is below

My 13 yr old schnauzer now has diabetes,?

The vet oriiginally sold me royal canin vet diet high fiber for him and after a little while he started having stomach problems, she now switched him to hills prescription w/d diabetic formula. well I looked these foods up and they both seem to be really crappy (no nutrition) foods. I was looking at wellness weight control and some others and it seems i can find a food that has less or no fillers that have about the same range of proteins fat and carbs as these two the vet sales…does anybody know what a good dry food i could get for a diabetic dog? I know a raw diet is best but i cant do that right now. thank you

Thank you for reading my post.

My father had an infection due to a blister on his right leg.
The tissue underwent necrosis and the surgeons removed the tissue.
This happened about 2 weeks ago. Since then he has been on the VAC.
The plastic surgeon says that the wound is healing, but slowly.
According to him it would need a lot more time to be able to take a graft.
He is strongly leaning on amputation. He says that staying in bed can only lead to a downward spiral of further complications.
Also his nutrition stats are not great. The surgeon is therefore not happy about taking skin from his body and produce a wound that might not heal.
He is a diabetic / CKD.

Below I posted a picture I took after they took the dressings out yesterday for the plastic surgeon to look. This picture IS GRAPHIC, so please at your own discretion.

My question is 1) if i hired a physical therapist and he got some movement every day, can we offset the issue of being in bed and causing other problems, and thus buy him time for the wound to heal?
2) is there anything nutritionally that we can get him. he is getting a nutritional IV containing multivitamins, selenium, and other stuff (I think they call it the "banana bag" because the liquid is yellow), and he is getting 3 boost drinks per day. Is there anything better than boost? I’ve been bringing him steak and chicken because the hospital’s food is clearly not the best quality.
3) i’ve heard of a method of growing skin. is this viable for this case?

ANY information is greatly appreciated. Even if its an expensive treatment.
Thank you so much for reading.

diabetes……………..?

can you get diabetes, if you eat one ice cream a day, but are athletic and exercise 6 times a week, like lets say if you eat one of mc donalds large vanilla shakes everday. But the rest of the food you eat is healthy.

I would like to further my nursing career and use my personal training certification to better people’s health through nutrition and fitness. Conditions such as Hypertension, Overweight/Obesity, Type 2 Diabetes, Depression, High Cholesterol, and other conditions that can be solved through fitness and nutrition. However, I’m not sure if I can use my own office space to run my own business with my degree/certification

Helpful cookbooks for gestational diabetes?

I am 14 weeks pregnant with twins, and found that I have gestational diabetes. Therefore, my OB has asked that I follow a diabetic food plan, but that I must be aware to consume the necessary caloric allotment of 3,200 daily. That is a lot of calories when almost eliminating carbs! Does anyone out there have a suggestion for a helpful (and easy) cookbook designed for women with gestational diabetes? I am sure I could use any diabetic cookbook, but am hoping for one geared more towards pregnant women, to help me get enough nutrition and calories in. Your help is appreciated.

Oh, and consuming meat is either hit-or-miss for me daily, as my morning sickness still lingers some days.
ADD: Yes, I am fully aware of the fact that I could easily look online. However, the whole point of using YA is to get actual perspectives and ideas. (Otherwise, wouldn’t the suggestion of just using Google pretty much eliminate about 95% of the questions on YA)

All they do is spew out negativity about a race and a lot of them are not accurate like whites have longer life span than blacks? so i’m going to live a short life because of my skin color when i drink six glasses of water daily and have a health diet and disease-free.only blacks of the lower class live shorter lifes because of their lack of nutrition and also blacks with diabetes sometimes die early so this statistics is halfway true but not totally true. What do you think about statistics?
