Just an example:
my daughter had 2 baskets full of her clothes in the front room. I asked her to help put them away; she said ‘no.’ My husband didn’t say anything to her; he starts yelling at me, telling me he wants the clothes out of there. When I reminded him she doesn’t want to help, he starts yelling at me, saying, "STOP!"
he acts like he’s done nothing wrong. he’s got part of it right: he’s done NOTHING. he watches t.v., goes off with whomever, and goes to bed early. even now he’s watching t.v. i really don’t know what to do.
he tried to ‘punish’ me earlier by "leaving" me, because i told him that we need to be on the same page, and as long as he fights me, she’s just going to be confused and nothing’s going to get done. he told me he’s leaving, i can go around with no car, and told our daughter to come with him. she cried and said, "No, I love my mom too much to leave her." (thank God.) after he left, she cried so hard, blaming herself for not obeying me. i said, "Oh wow, you didn’t obey. That’s ground for divorce." (that was after i continuously told her that she is not to blame; daddy’s just trying to punish me.) she kinda giggled, realizing it had nothing to do with her. we started to clean up, and he showed back up. he’s still being mean to me, tho, so i’m trying to stay away from him.
he’s just such a jerk to me. and i keep letting it happen. now he’s done it in front of our daughter. this is no good. she deserves better.
i don’t want us to break up, but i can’t take his constant belligerence and belittling me. he will act like he helps around the house when we have company, then stops as soon as they’re gone. then he wants to complain that the house is a mess, tho i’m CONSTANTLY working. if that isn’t bad enough, i’ve been so worried about bills, like medicine. we have no money in our pockets right now. but then i find out he bought 2 0 WII systems for his grand kids, through layaway. (so much more important than afford for diabetic test strips!) i’ve gone without in soooo many ways (I have ONE pair of socks to my name, for example), just to find out he’s WASTING our money til we’re broke.
i’m obviously not going to get through to him. what else can i do? do i HAVE to leave him? we only have one car, and without being together, i won’t stand a chance. i only ge 0/month. (I’m disabled with spina bifida.) he doesn’t make that much more than i do, which is all the more reason we need each other, financially.
it isn’t fair to our daughter or me. and it isn’t like he doesn’t know HOW to be nice. you should see him with the grands. he’s so funny and personable with them.
there’s got to be an answer. what am i missing? i’m sure i’m too close to the situation to think clearly.

I’ve only had it in minor amounts before, but today my mom made cabbage soup with quite a bit of brown sugar Splenda. I’ve completely broken out all over my legs and arms. My grandma is allergic to Splenda too.

I’ve never had a reaction this bad before! I’ve tried Clariton and it didn’t help and cortizon cream just made it sting. What else can I do I’m worried I won’t be able to fall asleep tonight!

I had blood work done lad week. I hadn’t eaten in 14 hours or drank anything either before I had my blood work done. My serum glucose number was 139 and my A1C was 6.1%. My doc didn’t seem too concerned, but all my web history has me very worried. My mom is pre diabetic, and I have using her meter to prick my finger on a regular basis. My levels come back any where from 74 up to 147 right after I eat, but nothing higher than that. Levels are normal with the glucose meter, but blood work was elevated. I’m confused. Do I have diabetes or not?

I take care of my elderly mother, who is diabetic, and took Avandia a couple of years ago. I know this b/c I was the one to fill her mountain of prescriptions. She isn’t doing too good and I saw commercials that say Avandia causes heart attacks and strokes and heart failure.

Is this real? Are there a lot of people that had heart attacks and strokes and heart failure because they took avandia? My mom’s had two heart attacks a couple years ago and did have to have bypass surgery, should I get her involved? It would help pay for some bills.

My mom is probably going to take me to the doctor tonight… I am not supposed to get my period till Sunday – look at my past questions for more information on my situation.

So my question is how early can a blood test detect pregnancy…? Would it pick up on if I was this early?

Ok so diabetes runs in my family…type 2 =/ my mom,aunt,and grandpa all have diabetes and so i was wondering if maybe i have it because i need to pee A LOT! lol and im always thirsty. so do you think i might be developing it? and dont say just go prick yourself because i want your opinion thanks so much and god bless <3 (oh and i know i aleady put this question up but i want more answers)

2.unquenchable thirst
3.irritabilty
4.moody
5.dry,itchy skin
ok i do have a clue what it is! and only one relative is on the heavier side! i also eat healthy and excersise so dont be so rude!

i have a lot of the symptoms of diabetes.
-excessive thirst.
-excessive hunger.
-i have to pee a lot.
-weight loss(12lbs. in one month. not good for me since i now weigh 108lbs.)
-shaking(A LOT)

my grandma and grandpa have it.
my mom is taking me wd. to see if i do have diabetes.
and if i do have it i would like to know what would be happening.

I’m scared and new to the whole diabetes scene. I’ve searched online for meals and proper care…I’m still worried that I haven’t covered all corners. Its all new to our family, my mom is the first person to develop diabetes. Can anyone offer tips or good reading? She’s getting out of the hospital in another week so I’m trying to prepare myself as well as my brothers and sisters. Thanks in advance for your help.

My mom called me and told me that she found out her blood sugar, glucose or whatever is at 400 and something, she’s gonna go to the doc, she said she’s gonna stop eating junk food and drinking soda/coffee, and i told her to start exercising. What else should she do?

I posted this questions yesterday and got no response and im very inpatient so here is the question again:
i was bored so i decided to test my blood sugar with my moms tester…i had never done it before and my mom said it was ok…. i changed the needle and the strip and cleaned off my finger and i started to get nervous but right before i was about to pull the needle away i accidentally pressed the button and poked myself…once i felt the stab i ran to the bathroom and through up and now im shaking really bad…it’s really hard to type…my blood sugar was normal and all but why did i throw up and get all shaky?

My mom threw away my manual for it (I have no idea why). I’ve tried three times each with a different strip to test my blood sugar. Can someone tell me what it means?

My name is Kiwi, I am 15 years old.
I haven’t been a happy little camper lately.
I get roughly about 4-7 hours of sleep a day, no less than 4. I have been getting weak very easily, going to the bathroom more than usual, been very lazy. I have also been very sleepy, which I guess can fall under the lazy catergory!
I might have type 2 diabetes. It runs in my family on both sides.
But, also my eye sight I can tell has gotten a little weaker, but that is probably from me being on the computer alot!
My mom is diabetic, and she has a blood meter, but I am to scared to get pricked with a needle, yet, I am not scared to get my blood drawn by a doctor! yes, I am weird!lol! So, when I get shakey, I am not sure if it is from low or high blood sugar. Can some one who has diabetes or is a doctor, please email me!If you go to my profile you can email me from there! i keep saying i wont though but she wont even listen to me because she is so stubborn.

im not over weight and i am pretty active person. i may have a small bowl of ice cream once a week and some candy once every 2 weeks. im a very picky eater and don’t like a lot of food so basically eats chicken, carrots eggs, bread, and almost all fruit products. (not at same time) i eat a pretty balanced diet.
only one person in my family has diabetes (type 2)
she is always saying that im going 2 get diabetes from that. i don’t believe her.. is she right?

im just 16 years old and my a1c is 13 before and right know 9 im was diagnose this year july my a1c goes down and be in the normal range my doctor don’t know yet if im type 1 or 2 im overweight and my highest blood sugar is 250 by using a blood glucose meter my mom is diabetic too she has type 2 and rest of her family in her side do u think im type 2???? i hope so…

My mom is had diabetes, heart and lung problems, she was in ICU for a week now. I can’t travel because I dont have money and job. As a student and parent of two kids, I am broke and don’t know what to do to be able to help her, she is in Asia and the medical fees very expensive. Four years already, we did not see each other. Where should I seek help to supply her medication?
