I’ve only been diagnosed since this past April and I am already experiencing numbness and pain in my feet and my vision is getting blurry. Does this mean that I’ve had the illness for some time and didn’t know it? Should I be taking insulin or medication with these symptoms rather than relying on diet and exercise?

Also, I have depression that doesn’t respond to treatment with anti-depressants for very long. Could the diabetes be causing this? Would medication or insulin help stop the depression?

My friend is, Amy, smoked pot less than a week ago. She has to get a blood test done to test her blood sugar levels and to see if her medication, Metphormen, is working properly. Will the marijuana she smoked be detected in the blood test?

Confused about my epilepsy?

I’m not sure whether to go back on medication?

Around 4 years ago I had an accident and banged my head, not very hard, but it knocked me out.. I had a scan just to be sure I was ok, and that’s when the decided to do further testing.. They said there was no real test to detirmine whether people have Epilepsy, but apparently I have very abnormal brain waves.. And they said it made sense with the fact I’d been back + fourth to the Drs over the years with extreme tiredness. I’d sleep for sometimes over 20 hours, and be in such a deep sleep, I’d sometimes wet myself because my body just didn’t wake up even though I needed to go. This was just extreme deep sleep, not seizures in my sleep.

I’ve never actually had a seizure.. They started me on around 3 tablets, but after check ups and blood tests, they increased it more each time till I was on 10 a day. I’m not even sure what type of Epilepsy I have! I just know I feel at my worst when I’m tired. I also suffer from sleep paralysis, which was confusing at the time, as obviousally me feeling like I’m passing out and then not being able to move, is similar to a certain type of seizure.. We never really knew whether they were seizures or my sleep paralysis.. But when it happened, I’d feel like people were trying to kill me (sounds insane, but over 50% of people with sleep paralysis state the same thing, they hear voices and see people they don’t know when it happens). They say I may grow out of my Epilepsy. I’ve tried about 3 types of medication, but I stopped as they made me feel sick, gave me headaches, made me more tired.. and I’d literally get up and fall down in the mornings my balance became so bad.. As I don’t have seizures, I decided to take myself off the medication to feel better. Was this a mistake? I go through times (such as today) where I feel light, like floaty.. and my face + head aches.. It feels like my vision is bright, like there’s alot of white.

I also have low blood pressure + a low sugar count, which I know can also make me feel light headed and odd.. I jus don’t want to waste the hospitals time by going back and it’s just my blood pressure + sugar count!

High red blood cells, and hemoglobin?

Evidently, according to a blood test I had done at the doctor, I have both abnormally high amounts of red blood cells, and hemoglobin. Everything else was normal. White blood cell, and platelet counts are perfectly normal. Cholesterol was at healthy levels, as is literally everything else. According to every time I have ever went to have my blood pressure checked, it was in the healthy range. Not at all high. According to the test of my blood sugar, it’s also normal. Looking up what that would mean, I found a number of things it COULD be. I don’t think it is however, because with most of them, none of the causes really apply to me, and besides the high blood cell, and high hemoglobin amounts, the only other symptom I had of any of them was, the whole reason for me getting these tests, and things: Sometimes for no real reason, I start to feel extremely dizzy, like I’m going to faint, and like I am going to vomit, but never do vomit, and have only fainted once. Now, I understand that that does not mean I don’t have any of the listed things, but none of them seem particularly likely to me. My main questions are, does anyone know what it could be, and especially, has anyone on here had something similar? And what was it? And also, what can you even do to lower those things? It’s not as though I can just choose to produce less.
I probably should have mentioned earlier, but I am going back for a follow-up next week. I also probably should have mentioned, it was actually 2-4 days ago (I forget) when I went for the test, and just got the results from the nurse today, over the phone. Since this could be a factor, according to Wikipedia, I live at 495 ft (151 m) above sea level. Other things to mention: I am currently taking no sort of medication, I do not use any sort of drugs, whatsoever, and so far as I know I have no diseases. I was however, last year, taking a medication that I had monthly blood tests for, because it could damage either your kidneys, or liver (I forget, again; maybe it’s even both, though.). They never told me anything about the results, so I always assumed that meant everything was okay. I also don’t believe I would have been dehydrated that day, since all I had had that day was a bottle of water, because they told me not to eat after 12:00. And of course it will all just be speculation, but

Ummmmm. . . It’s being odd. The part it cut off, though, I was just saying thank you to Sach, and some non-important things.

I have diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. Will any of the 3 keep me from going to Schweinfert, Germany with my husband? I am on medication for all 3 right now and have no complications but I’m afraid that I’ll fail the EFMP screening and be denied command sponsorship.

blood test?

How soon can a blood test confirm pregnancy? I have to go to the doctor tomorrow because of an injured ankle, but I’ll only be 6 dpo and 21 days into my cycle. I would just like to know if I’m pregnant before getting any kind of x-ray or medication.

Please someone out there, can you tell me if you think that my blood sugar warrants a medication like this? I need to know as soon as possible….;-)

Thanks,

My mom is had diabetes, heart and lung problems, she was in ICU for a week now. I can’t travel because I dont have money and job. As a student and parent of two kids, I am broke and don’t know what to do to be able to help her, she is in Asia and the medical fees very expensive. Four years already, we did not see each other. Where should I seek help to supply her medication?
