I’ve only had it in minor amounts before, but today my mom made cabbage soup with quite a bit of brown sugar Splenda. I’ve completely broken out all over my legs and arms. My grandma is allergic to Splenda too.
I’ve never had a reaction this bad before! I’ve tried Clariton and it didn’t help and cortizon cream just made it sting. What else can I do
I’m worried I won’t be able to fall asleep tonight!

It is making me so sick. It does being my sugar down some but I stay sick to my stomach, nausea, & diarrea.It is honestly making me sicker than the diabetes. I could tell when my sugar was high before but not since I am taking the metaformin500.
My diabetic hubby took it for a couple monthes but the flatulence was ungodly!!

I check my daughter’s blood sugar 10-12 times per day. She was diagnosed about 4 months ago now, so that’s … a lot of testing
)
So under those circumstances, how long will a meter last? I haven’t had any problems so far, except for half a vial of funky test strips. And when the meter goes bad, how does it go? Does it usually happen a certain way?
Oh, and tell me what kind of meter you have experience with. We use a One Touch Ultra every day, and have a Accu-Chek Compact Plus for back up. We’ve only used that one about 10 times total.
Thanks in advance!

Just another bloated bureaucracy, or part of Obama’s scheme to drive everyone to private insurance?

Nerve damage was done a few years prior to the neuropathy. Taking pain pills for the pain just isn’t getting it.

I don’t know for sure yet and I have an appointment soon to find out, but I fear I may be at risk of getting diabetes if I don’t change things in my life soon. I have already made several lifestyle changes including ditching fast food and sugary drinks and well as daily exercise for an hour, but I don’t want being healthy to be boring.
The majority of what I drink now is water, but some flavor would be nice. So, I like to drink tea with Lemon and Sweet N Low or water with Lemon and Sweet N Low.
I choose Sweet N Low because I prefer the taste over other artificial sweeteners. But is it okay for someone who has diabetes or is at risk of getting it to use Sweet N Low instead of sugar? I want to be healthy, but still enjoy the taste of food and drinks. So if Sweet N Low is a safe alternative, that would be a huge plus for my current diet plan.

Is that bad for me? It’s the only way I can drink plenty of water. It always tastes and smells like metal even if it’s filtered.

Im suppose to fast after 12am and drink that nasty glucose drink at 9am then come in at 10:00am. I normally wake up at 7am if I don’t eat right away I get sick. If I eat some crackers or a nutrigrain bar will it make me fail the test?
