im having anxiety this morning about doing the 3 hour glucose test i feel like its going to make me feel wierd and im going to crash bad…how was your expierence?
I have failed the 1 hour glucose test twice. I am taking the 3 hour on Friday. I am wondering what I should expect in my pregnancy if I fail. Has anyone failed the 1hour and passed the 3 hour? I’m on the 3 day diet, and I feel fine normally. I just dont want to have to worry about harm coming to my baby after no complications thus far.
Thanks!
I just got my results from the one hour glucose test and was told my sugars were slightly elevated (they said it should be under 135 and mine was 143). I am going for the 3 hour glucose test tomorrow. Has anyone had high sugars with the 1 hour test then gone on to the 3 hour test and ended up WITHOUT gestational diabetes? I am nervous and do not want to have gestational diabetes.
I am measuring large for my dates and I have also gained alot of weight fast–I am 23 weeks and I have gained almost 30 pounds–I look like I am 7-8 months pregnant!!! anyways with that in consideration and the fact that both of my grandmothers have diabetes I need to get a glucose test done at 28 weeks has anyone had this test done and what does it involve?
I have a glucose test to determine if my body is capable of processing sugars. i want to cheat it so what do i have to eat or drink to make my glucose levels not to low and not to high?
My doc called me this morning and told me my count was 149 from the 1 hour test and I would have to do the 3 hour glucose test. I go to take it in the morning. Can anyone tell me what the test involves? Thank you!! (28 Weeks pregnant with a boy!!!)
I had my glucose test today (the one with the disgusting orange drink) and i had to fast from 7:30PM to 7:30AM.
during my 1st test (the one before drinking the nasty) i fainted. i was out for a few minutes… is this normal or does this mean something?
i don’t get my test results till monday-so i was just wondering what this would mean.
I want to product a glucose test that hasn’t enzyme.
but i don’t know which materials can i use for this work!!!
I hope my instrument be portable that everyone can use it.
I am going in at 2pm this afternoon for my glucose test. I was wondering, does anyone know if I am suppose to fast before I go in? Can I eat a little something? You know how us pregnant woman are with eating
i am just curious what ppl consider within normal levels one hour and then 2 hours after starting the 2 hour glucose test
When I was pregant with my first child I was 24 going on 25. Since I turned 25 while I was pregnant my healthcare provider told me I would not have to complete the glucose test because they only test people under the age of 25. When I had my second child I had a different healthcare provider but still no glucose test. I am confused because it would seem to me that as you get older you would want to be tested…not younger. Does anyone have any explanations for this???
Since there is no diabetes anywhere in my family I was able to talk my doctor out of doing the three hour glucose test. My urine tests were always fine. My largest baby weighed 7 lb. 6 oz. I was afraid the test would make me feel sick.
I have to take the glucose test to see if I have gestational diabetes at my next appointment. Everyone keeps telling me it tastes horrible. I have even heard of some women throwing up but the doctor says it isn’t that bad. Has the doctor ever taken this test? I doubt it. So who has taken the test and how bad was it? Any tips on getting through it without puking?
I took the long glucose test and I am on pregnancy medicaid and I wanted to know if I did fail and I have to get a meter will medicaid pay for it or will I have to? If I do how much do they cost and which meter is the best to get. Any mean or rude comments will be flagged.
On my last glucose test on a general blood test my glucose was 99 and the upper cut off of normal was 100. What is the lowest number in the normal range?
