I recently lost my insurance and job, and have become financially strapped. I have signed up for the various programs available to get my Humalog/Novalog and Lantus insulin free, but it will be at least 4-6 weeks before they take effect, and my supplies are low now. I’m also in need of test strips, which are quite expensive. I’m looking for a resource that may be able to provide me these in the short term. I know many doctors get sample vials as my old DR used to provide them to me sometimes, and I’m hoping perhaps I can find such a source now. Help is much appreciated. Buffalo NY area specifically.
I’ve already contacted the drug company programs for free meds, but their process will take at least 4 weeks and my need is more immediate.

I go next week to the doctors, but I am almost 23 weeks and so far no word of it has been mentioned.
No, I am not too worried about it. A little concerned that if I can’t eat, I will be sick and unable to keep the stuff down though.

Doctors suggested that one of my very dearest relative should be given insulin injection daily as she has diabetes. Is it given to the patient whose kidneys have been very damaged? I’m so scared, someone please tell.

I am a 25 year old female with PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome. I have completed the highest levels of CLOMID with no results and now my dr wants to put me on Glucophage. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant and I understand Glucophage and Clomid combined are more effective that Clomid alone and Glucophage can aid in loosing weight too. Please help me out ladies and share your stories. We have been trying to get pregnant for 3 years with one miscarriage a year ago and I feel like a failure to my husband because I can not provide him a family. Any insight would be greatful and appreciated. Thank you!
My dose of Clomid is 200mg, the highest dose reccomended but some doctors will go as high at 250 mg.

I started my last period on the 21st of January so the days I ouvlated were the 28th-31st (so said the ovulation chart…) My husband and I had sex during those days. I really thought I could be pregnant. But I was in the emergency room on Feb. 4th (I have an ovarian cyst I thought ruptured), they drew blood then sent me to get a CT scan. They never told me what the blood results were but I assumed they were negative because they didnt say anything and I had the test. So my qestions are this: 1- Could I be pregnant and the blood test not show it? 2- If that was the case, could the CT hurt the baby?
The doctors knew we were trying so I assumed they tested for pregnancy with the blood but they did take urine too so they could have just tested with that. I know I should have asked more questions but I was in too much pain to think

dinner 4pm- chicken salad with tomatoes and few crunchy tortilla strips. small corn muffin
snack 7:30 before bed- milk and 100 calorie pack gram crackers
this is what i ate yesterday. is this good ya think? i was told i was type 2 two weeks ago. im still a little lost on the carb exchanges and such. everytime ive tested, its been in the 80-120′s. im on medication and i take it with breakfast and dinner. i have more appointments with doctors. im keeping a diary of my tests and what i eat to get an idea of how my body is reacting to things.
my readings are lower in the mornings and thats when im at work and most active. i work from 5 am to 3 pm. our lunch is at 11 am. in the mornings my readings are in the 80′s and before bed there back in the 80′s. when there a little higher, around 100-120 i feel better and not as tired and sluggish.
the soup at hand is 13 carbs and only 1 gram of sugar

that people who take it have an increased risk of cardiac issues? I have been taking a 4 mg dosage, once a day, for almost 4 yrs. My internist wants me to stay on it, saying that the benefits outweight the risks. Several co workers have been taken off this med (different doctors). I am concerned because I have been very overweight in the past (still am, but less so) and have a strong family history of heart disease. Any comments or personal experiences would be appreciated.

Lately Ive been feeling extremely tired, not to mention nauseous throughout the day. Then I missed my expected period so I took the Clear Blue digital pregancy test…in fact I took THREE of them. The first two said Pregant 1-2 weeks, the third said Pregnant 2-3 weeks (the last one I did with the fist pee of the day)
However I went to my doctors to find out she was on holidays until the middle of August and had another male doctor filling in for her until she returned. When I did a urine test at the office with him he used a paper strip and the test came back negative??
Im very confused as to whats going on, I requested a sheet to go get a blood test done to be sure. Is it possible I AM in fact pregnant and that the 3 Clear Blue tests I took are more accurate than the ‘line paper strip’ test that the doctor offered?

I was getting slightly high numbers and tested for a few weeks to keep an eye on it I was getting around 8 after most meals but pretty normal fasting. I stopped after I felt It was not so bad but I recently got a bad case of strep throat and a virus that was left untreated for a bit because of 2 different misdiagnosis with 2 different doctors. I almost fainted in the Dr’s Office so they tested my sugar and it was 8 and I hadn’t eaten all day. The nurse looked concerned but the Dr said it was probably an adrenaline rush.
My problem is that ever since I got sick Ive been getting almost every illness around, I am tired all the time and the last week I’ve had headaches which are so on and off I can’t figure out when to take panadol,
I don’t know if I should start testing again or if I shouldn’t even worry about it.
I don’t have strips at the moment so I can’t even see if anythings changed, all I know is that my doctors are all unreliable and I DREAD seeing them for anything.
I went in trembling like I was naked in a snow storm once and all I got was a referral to a neurologist, the dr refused to check my sugar at that time
so I thought i’d get an opinion on my older numbers and see if there is reason i should test again at this time.

Okay first of all i’m cheap, and my insurance coverage is awful. Should I just check the blood glucose levels myself with a cheap meter? And if i notice something wrong make an appointment? (I hate doctors btw bunch of pill pushing assholes)
Thing is i’m not overweight, I am however very inactive. I only play basketball once a week for 40 minutes and my job is sitting at a desk all day and I come home and sit… My diet is good too I don’t drink sodas and have stopped eating processed foods as much as possibly. I’m kind of a health nut minus the excersise so I find this very surprising that i’m having these symptoms. Sluggish and thirsty.
probably regardless what people say they over react majorly on the internet, i’ll get the meter. How should I test do I fast for a day and then check the level or when is the proper time to test? Thanks
Thanks for the answers this is definetly going to trigger a major lifestyle change i’ve already started to excersise vigerously lol But i’ve only been thirsty like this for 2 days now. But its very odd. I don’t find i’m peeing all that much i feel like i’m getting dehydrated so maybe its not diabetes. Thank goodness my health coverage just began heh.

My daughter recently started being extremely fatigued. She’s going to be 6 next week the doctors have done blood work twice and have found nothing. Her white cell count, blood sugar, and Iron were all good. Mono, Thyroid and Lyme’s disease were all negative but she eats a lot and with in 10 min she is sleep. She will take 2 or 3 naps a day and still sleep at night. When she’s awake sometimes she appears drunk. The doctor told me it may be pollen but I’m not hearing that. Please help…..Thanks

My brother is diabetic for 2 years now. He is 11 and a half and his blood sugar is just fine. He doesn’t have major problems. Last time when he had appointment with his doctor he made some tests about thyroid gland and his hormones are all normal but antibodies are really high. What means that? We can’t ask his doctors because both of them are on vacation (his regular doctor and his endocrinologist) and the other doctors that are replacing accept just really emergency health problems.
* And could these results be wrong because the hospital didn’t have the necessary test strips for thyroid gland and the blood was there for over a month ( I don’t know in what kind of conditions the blood was kept because here we have kind of poor heath system)
