Evidently, according to a blood test I had done at the doctor, I have both abnormally high amounts of red blood cells, and hemoglobin. Everything else was normal. White blood cell, and platelet counts are perfectly normal. Cholesterol was at healthy levels, as is literally everything else. According to every time I have ever went to have my blood pressure checked, it was in the healthy range. Not at all high. According to the test of my blood sugar, it’s also normal. Looking up what that would mean, I found a number of things it COULD be. I don’t think it is however, because with most of them, none of the causes really apply to me, and besides the high blood cell, and high hemoglobin amounts, the only other symptom I had of any of them was, the whole reason for me getting these tests, and things: Sometimes for no real reason, I start to feel extremely dizzy, like I’m going to faint, and like I am going to vomit, but never do vomit, and have only fainted once. Now, I understand that that does not mean I don’t have any of the listed things, but none of them seem particularly likely to me. My main questions are, does anyone know what it could be, and especially, has anyone on here had something similar? And what was it? And also, what can you even do to lower those things? It’s not as though I can just choose to produce less.
I probably should have mentioned earlier, but I am going back for a follow-up next week. I also probably should have mentioned, it was actually 2-4 days ago (I forget) when I went for the test, and just got the results from the nurse today, over the phone. Since this could be a factor, according to Wikipedia, I live at 495 ft (151 m) above sea level. Other things to mention: I am currently taking no sort of medication, I do not use any sort of drugs, whatsoever, and so far as I know I have no diseases. I was however, last year, taking a medication that I had monthly blood tests for, because it could damage either your kidneys, or liver (I forget, again; maybe it’s even both, though.). They never told me anything about the results, so I always assumed that meant everything was okay. I also don’t believe I would have been dehydrated that day, since all I had had that day was a bottle of water, because they told me not to eat after 12:00. And of course it will all just be speculation, but

it says my glucose is low (55)
What does this mean? my doctor wanted me to take the test to see why I’ve lost so much weight.. (i’m a 14 year old girl 5’1 and weigh 85lbs)

me and my husband is trying to conceive i am 2 months late I took over 5 home test and they were all negative.Should I call my dr for a blood test?I am afraid becasue i am scared of hearing "your not pregnant!" Could I request an ultrasound if it is negative?

Today my IVF clinic took a blood test to see if I’ve ovulated, in order to start my next IVF cycle. Later they told me I had ovulated and I’m ready to start this cycle but I wondered would that blood test have revealed if I was possibly pregnant? Or are they only testing for ovulation and progesterone levels so wouldn’t look to see if HCG was in the blood?

My friend did the blood test first to see if her baby has down syndrome and it came back positive. Then went ahead and did the test where they poke your belly to get the amniotic fluid out and test it. The also did a scan to check the babys measurements. He doesn’t have down syndrom but he has short legs cuz of his dad. So why did the blood test come out positive?? If he doesn’t have down syndrome then could he have something else? I hope not tho.

if i was to drink a CAN OFF COKE COLA. and then run for 3-4mins to my destination or even 2mins to my destination have my blood test what would be a SIDE Effect off drinking a Sugary Drink and running . and then having a blood test what would be a side effect AFTERWARDS…??? would it be a colasp or feeling faint? sick? It is above the collor bone and bigger than pea size.

Lately Ive been feeling extremely tired, not to mention nauseous throughout the day. Then I missed my expected period so I took the Clear Blue digital pregancy test…in fact I took THREE of them. The first two said Pregant 1-2 weeks, the third said Pregnant 2-3 weeks (the last one I did with the fist pee of the day)

However I went to my doctors to find out she was on holidays until the middle of August and had another male doctor filling in for her until she returned. When I did a urine test at the office with him he used a paper strip and the test came back negative??

Im very confused as to whats going on, I requested a sheet to go get a blood test done to be sure. Is it possible I AM in fact pregnant and that the 3 Clear Blue tests I took are more accurate than the ‘line paper strip’ test that the doctor offered?

I am getting a blood test tomorrow at the docters. I am very afraid of pain and needles and I was wondering if I could put Lidocaine Ointment on my arm before the test to numb my arm. If I could not what other products could I use?

I took a blood test 13- 15 days after possible conception. It was less than 2. Is this accurate. Cause some say it just rises, is it safe to say it is accurate without taking another blood test. I took an hpt about 4 days before my period and negative. I’ve heard there’s cases that it can stay low but just grow. Is this accurate?

I had 2 two cats, until the older one died of Feline Leukemia (FeLV) about a month or so ago. I tested my other cat the next day, and she tested a "faint positive" (i.e., just a faint blue circle for the FeLV part of the blood test strip). It has now been just over month since she tested positive. I really want to get another cat to keep her company during the day, as she is noticeably more lethargic and disinterested in play. My concern though is that even if she tests negative this time for FeLV, could she still transmit the disease to another cat? I really want another cat, but I don’t want to make another one suffer like my first one did. I asked different vets who seemed to have different views, FYI.
Yeah, I had the thought about the false positive, but I also worry about a false negative. What makes things worse is that the cat does nothing but hiss and growl at me since the other one died, so I can’t exactly love on it.
