High red blood cells, and hemoglobin?

Evidently, according to a blood test I had done at the doctor, I have both abnormally high amounts of red blood cells, and hemoglobin. Everything else was normal. White blood cell, and platelet counts are perfectly normal. Cholesterol was at healthy levels, as is literally everything else. According to every time I have ever went to have my blood pressure checked, it was in the healthy range. Not at all high. According to the test of my blood sugar, it’s also normal. Looking up what that would mean, I found a number of things it COULD be. I don’t think it is however, because with most of them, none of the causes really apply to me, and besides the high blood cell, and high hemoglobin amounts, the only other symptom I had of any of them was, the whole reason for me getting these tests, and things: Sometimes for no real reason, I start to feel extremely dizzy, like I’m going to faint, and like I am going to vomit, but never do vomit, and have only fainted once. Now, I understand that that does not mean I don’t have any of the listed things, but none of them seem particularly likely to me. My main questions are, does anyone know what it could be, and especially, has anyone on here had something similar? And what was it? And also, what can you even do to lower those things? It’s not as though I can just choose to produce less.
I probably should have mentioned earlier, but I am going back for a follow-up next week. I also probably should have mentioned, it was actually 2-4 days ago (I forget) when I went for the test, and just got the results from the nurse today, over the phone. Since this could be a factor, according to Wikipedia, I live at 495 ft (151 m) above sea level. Other things to mention: I am currently taking no sort of medication, I do not use any sort of drugs, whatsoever, and so far as I know I have no diseases. I was however, last year, taking a medication that I had monthly blood tests for, because it could damage either your kidneys, or liver (I forget, again; maybe it’s even both, though.). They never told me anything about the results, so I always assumed that meant everything was okay. I also don’t believe I would have been dehydrated that day, since all I had had that day was a bottle of water, because they told me not to eat after 12:00. And of course it will all just be speculation, but

Ummmmm. . . It’s being odd. The part it cut off, though, I was just saying thank you to Sach, and some non-important things.

How can I keep his blood sugar from dropping too low? It’s 9:00 pm on a Sunday night so calling the Dr. is out of the question. The ER here sucks so bad I won’t send my worst enemy there. Any suggestions?

What happens to a Diabetic after eating sugar?

Everyone says that blood sugar spikes are dangerous, but what really happens from the personal perspective of a Type II diabetic?
some people aren’t answering the question!

what does the diabetic person "feel" like after eating too much carbs/sugar?

Like those diabetic strips that attaches to a meter and measures blood sugar – Can they be used to measure sugar content in foods?

If not, I need to find a way to measure the amount of sugar in juices for a science experiment.

PS: I’m in high school so no expensive equipment! Thanks.
The juices I am testing are fresh – Like squeezing an orange. There is no bottle I can check from.
cherio – I was afraid of that. Anyone else have advice?
R. thritic – thanks I will look into glucometers. I am also wondering if the strips/glucometer only test for simple sugars like glucose and not more complex carbs

PS: I will be squeezing juice out of fresh fruit so I can’t check labels on fruit juice bottles :P

In May, my doc said my blood sugar was just a little high, and to just keep an eye on my diet. I believe I have been doing OK in following his orders. I am 20 years old, a healthy weight, and in good health otherwise.

Am I still at risk for developing diabetic retinopathy even though I don’t have diabetes?

I do remember part of what the commercial says if that helps at all:

"15 million people in America has type 2 diabetes. My own grandmother lost her battle. If you have type 2 diabetes, it’s more important then ever to watch what you eat and exercise regularly, and if that’s not enough ask your doctor about adding Avandia to your daily routine. Avandia is different than some diabetes medications. It uses the natural insulin it’s already making to help lower your blood sugar. With the addition of Avandia, a lot of people have been able to lower their blood sugar."

I’m just into drug ads in a way and wanted to know if you knew where the commercial is. I liked watching it on the internet before I couldn’t find it anymore.

Thanks in advance,
Andy…
Couldn’t find it in Google or Youtube.
The commercial was done with Jane Seymour.

Just out of curiosity I checked my kids blood sugar. It’s been about an hour since they last ate. My oldest was 146, my middle child was 144, my youngest was 127, and I am 107 mg/dL. Online I can only find fasting which says for non diabetic 70 – 120 fasting is the norm. Any nurses know if my children’s blood glucose is to high?

My mom threw away my manual for it (I have no idea why). I’ve tried three times each with a different strip to test my blood sugar. Can someone tell me what it means?

What Factors Effect Ketone Urinalysis Strips?

My family has a history of Type1 diabetes so I test my blood sugar and ketones often. My blood sugar is normal(non-diabetic) but suddenly my ketone urinalysis is showing "trace" to "small" results. Are there any medications that could this? I’m taking several for acid reflux. Could it be stress? Lack of sleep? Vitamins, minerals, etc…. I opened this box two weeks ago, the expiration date is still a year away.
