I have my glucose monitor for quite sometime BUT I have job that requires me to move around a lot and my monitro keeps coming out! Does anyone have a good spot to put it so that it does not keep falling out. I’m using the 3M tape but it still falls out!

The top of the buttocks (ie., not where you sit!) brings us the most luck. The area doesn’t move as much as arms and legs, and it’s less likely to get bumped where it is.
When we first went on CGMS I posted a similar question and a helpful reply was to criss-cross bandaids over the site. So simple that I never thought of it myself!
A glucose monitor that is attched to you?
All glucose monitors are like a little hand held device that you take out of a puch.
Im guessing that you have an insulin pump. and i would say to get a holder like a Police officer would have and attach it to your belt.
Your abdomen would be the best place for it, but you can also try the lower part of your back/upper part of butt. IV 3000 and Tegaderm are the best tapes to use for sensors, also its good to use IV Prep wipes before the insertion. These items are covered by some insurance companies and available through Medtronic, at minimed.com.

hi, i work at minimed. we have a liquid adhesive called mastisol. it is non-water soluble. i’ve found that it really helps my patients keep in the sensors and sites
you know, if u were actually talking about a insulin pump…i just HAVE to say this: The Omnipod is the BEST thing that has ever happened to me…anyway the point is: it is ON you..it doesn’t have tubes and its so discreet..if anything bumps against it ..it doesn’t HURT! please try this i swear you’ll love it…my job is at a pet resort(big dogs…ya u get it) and the Pod doesn’t get in the way! I hope I helped!
