there is a slight increased risk but not a massive increase. I have type 1 diabetes and as far as we can trace back, I am the only family member to have/have had it. Personally I find the disease fairly easy to manage, once getting over the initial getting used to the injections etc, so I wouldn’t be too worried if I were you as the disease is treatable (although not curable) and you are only at a slightly increased risk of passing diabetes to your children. (Also I hadn’t heard the skipping a generation thing, I have been told you are at more risk if your parent/sibling has it) good luck
you need to know the cause of this juvenile diabetes
some inherited diseases causes diabetes
but generaly most people don’t have specific cause, and it’s not inherited in most of the cases
you don’t need to worry
bye
Please watch the video linked below. It tells about a study in which the subjects were able to reduce the expected cases of Type 1 Diabetes by 88%.
That skip a generation is an old wives tale.
Diabetes is genetic. You have no way to know for sure what will happen to your yet to be conceived children.
We don’t make designer babies yet.
Chill.
