I tend to be Hypoglycemic though I have not been able to get it diagnosed. Everytime I get a Fasting Blood Sugar it shows normal range but I have had too many episodes of Low Blood Sugar/Drastic Dropping Sugars that I am convinced and it doesn’t hurt to treat it as such so that is what I do.
I stay away from eating anything with sugar in it until I have had a decent meal to counteract the sugar.
Recently I had my lower teeth pulled and dentures put in. . . it was next to impossible to eat anything but soups/crackers for about the first 10-14 days and in no time I had shed 8 lbs.
Once I could eat something halfway solid I ate alot of Vienna Sausages,Cup of Noodles and Soups and I continued to lose weight.
It has now been almost 3 months since I had my teeth pulled and I have lost amost 15 lbs.(have gone from almost 148lbs down to 133lbs but fluctuate to 135lbs)
After getting over the initial sore gum ordeal and becoming able to eat better I refuse to go back to the way I use to eat. . thinking I had to eat all of the large hamburger or all of the steak etc. Now I eat smaller portions.
I stick to meats, veggies, soups etc. I stay away from carbs, sugars etc. I leave dairy alone and use less margarine on my foods.
I am trying to eat only one maybe two meals aday and I try to make those meals wholesome but smaller portions.
As long as I leave sugars/carbs alone I don’t have problems with low sugar or dropping sugar problems.
If I get hungry between meals I drink water and eat Vienna Sausages.I’ve also started eating more pretzels and they seem to do OK as well.
I also take my multi vitamins and calcium so to keep myself
from lacking vitamins etc.
Hope this helps and Good Luck
Liquid fasting on natural fruit juice and vegetable juice…..
smooties, v8 juice, diet cranberry juice…etc.
Also try prunes and prune juice.
well since hypoglycemia is a blood condition.. you need to eat something in order keep it balanced, that way dont you pass out. but if you occasionally eat something.. such as friuts or vegtables, you wont gain any weight and will keep it in check.
