How much Sweet n' Low is too much?
My mother can’t eat sugar or use a lot of honey. How much Sweet n’ Low is too much to be healthy? She would be using a lot to sweeten her foods.
Don’t tell me about any other sweeteners. She specifically wants to know about Sweet n’ Low.

Sweet N Low healthy is a oxymoron. That stuff kills.
Your answer is 1 grain os SnL is too much! It KILLS and it’s on the package. When she’s in the hospital dying of brain cancer do not wonder where it came from, you know the answer!
Sweet n’ Low is an artificial sweetener and those are very bad for you. Why not use just stevia?
The FDA does not provide a limit for saccharine. But it does state on the package that it has caused cancer in laboratory animals. But they were given nearly 1/4 of their body weight of it each day for weeks. I use it too, but I don’t consume more than 4 packets a day, It makes me feel ill if I use too much.
Sweet n’ low is much sweeter than sugar, so a little will go a long way! Since it is indigestible, she may want to start eating it in small quantities to see if it has any adverse side affects. If not, then I would figure any amount would be okay.
Fyi, according to the website below, Sweet n’ Low is 3.6% soluble saccharin and a small amount of anti caking agents. Apparently, the rest of Sweet n’ Low is dextrose, a sugar with a glycemic index of about 100 or more.
Furthermore, according to the source, 10 grams of Sweet n’ low has 9 grams of dextrose and has 36 calories, and the same weight of sugar provides 39 calories.
Based on this information, I wouldn’t recommend Sweet n’ Low for those who can’t have sugar.
Good luck to you and your mom!
