It definitely sounds like hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) to me, which can make you at higher risk for developing diabetes later in life. The best thing to do is to just adjust how you eat to avoid letting your blood sugars drop too low – and it sounds like you already have a good handle on how to do that. Fats are also a good source of slower-acting energy like protein, so a small handful of nuts will also help you out (and often tends to be a little easier to toss in the bottom of a purse or bag and have with you for when you find you need it).

You young ones are always worried you’d get some disease. I’m 55 and I just acquired type 2 diabetes, You shouldn’t worry about things like that til you get older. Or Obese. If you are worried still, go see a doctor.
