Im 29 weeks pregnant and was supposed to have my routine 28 week blood glucose test, but i was throwing up and couldn’t keep down the sugary drink that’s needed for the test. I’ve had severe nausea and vomiting my entire pregnancy. What if this keeps happening and i don’t get the test? How long can i leave it without the results being affected. Is there any other way of testing for it without my needing to drink that disgusting sugar water?

I suppose it will have to be vegan, with no processed foods, and avoiding potatoes, tomatoes,dairy and soy, and fruit. What is left for me to eat? Seriously, is there any diet out there that will give me enough nutrition? What are the foods I should stress in my diet?

If an insulin dependent diabetic gets stranded in a remote part of the world – and the insulin supply is lost/destroyed – and with no medical facilities nearby – what items/foods/devices can be used/rigged to survive?

I usually get frequent headaches and other symptoms of Hypoglycemia throughout the day and recently started using my roommates’ blood glucose monitor. I do not know what my level should be but I average 82 around 7pm and have seen my level drop to below 50 mid day. Should I be concerned and schedule an appointment about this?

Basically, what I would like to do is sit down with a small group and talk open and honestly about our lives with diabetes.
How to manage it and not it managing us.
Also make it fun, and engaging with incentives for participating. But mainly letting them know how they can prevent kidney disease, amputation, and the various other dangerous complications.

i’m going to be standing up for at least 3 and a half hours, and i really don’t want to collapse during it so, so what should i eat before it? and do i need to take any vitamins? if so, which ones?

Why when you go to the doctor to take a blood test, they give you some kind of drink (mine was orange)that has a lot of sugar in it? i mean if someone had serious diabetes, and they drink that, it would not be good for them?

I have made this discovery. How ever a person answers a question indicates where there mind is actually at.
If they say "you are in the wrong catagory" and they answer the question. They are in the wrong catagory.
If some one answers with a comment like. "you are on good stuff. Give me some of that. They mean exactly that.

Pure sugar as in sugar cubes or white sugar? If not what will quickly higher blood sugar and what will quickly lower it.

I have a very high insulin level all the time. My doctor has given me medication and says with a balanced diet and regular exercise I should be able to drop the weight. Well, exercising 5 days a week and eating healthy isn’t working. Any tips??
