I was tested for diabetes and do not have it. I was wondering what else can cause frequent urination besides diabetes? I have started to drink more water and I am going to the bathroom a lot and I’m hoping it’s not something serious.

How worried should her daughter be that her mother’s blood sugars are regularly in the 180-200 range, regardless of time of day? I know she takes her insulin and walks daily. Diet is another question. My concerns are regularly brushed off as overreaction. What can I do to help?
( I believe she cannot take more insulin…. her doctor told her that if she takes too much it can also raise blood sugar levels?)

Do diabetics have low or high blood sugar?

In the initial blood test that tells the doctor the patient has diabetes, is the blood sugar regularly high, or regularly low?

Not if a diabetic is monitoring their blood between meals, but if the patient goes in without eating food to get a blood workup done. Is it high or low?

We did a lab in Biology where we had to test many test tubes and discover their various indicators.
As we tested glucose with benedicts solution and heated the the sample. It turned tangy orange, and reacted the most intensely amongst all the other test tubes.
How else can i prove that it is the definiate positive indicator for glucose.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.
HELP

I’ve heard this from my mom, and it kind made me scared. I am a type 1 diabetic that is 13, and I want to know if this is true.
I mean a normal low blood sugar, not a blood sugar so low that you pass out.

Diabetes question with using meter?

I am trying to check my glucose to see if I may have diabetes because I can not afford to go to the doctor at the moment. I want to start charting how I feel and what my glucose level means. I can not find any charts for what my numbers mean after or before I eat. Can anyone give me any info. on what range is bad and good after or before you eat. Thank you so much. I have a feeling Im diabetic and its probley good for me to get a head start on understanding this. Please dont tell me to go to the doctor because I am going I just want to have a journal of how I feel before I go, so if Im not diabetic they can find out what it is. Thank you so much.

How much do you eat?
What are you supposed to avoid?
Is peanut butter really good for when your blood sugar gets too low?
How do you avoid it dropping like that?

OK, quite a bit more than just one question, but that’s the kind of thing I want to know.

My brother is hypoglycemic, but it seems like the only time he lets it affect the way he eats is when he is having a sugar dive. Then he eats the sweets. He is VERY overwieght & I am scared as to what would happen to his kids if something happened to him. (One daughter is autistic.)

Is it possible to develop hypoglycemia?

Is it possible? If so, how do you get it? What can you do to make the symptoms not as bad?
I get shaky and dizzy when I haven’t eaten in at least three hours, and I’ve been known to faint. But its just recently.

"The industry that makes wheelchairs, pacemakers and other medical devices has launched a lobbying blitz to kill a tax on its products proposed in a health care bill moving through the Senate.

The billion, 10-year tax is one of several new fees included in the Senate Finance Committee’s health care legislation, but it is the only one so far that has drawn significant opposition from Democrats — many of whom have large medical device makers in their states. "

And this is after the medical device manufacturers went to the WH and pledged to voluntarily cut costs to help people be able to afford them.

Who exactly do you think will be paying for that tax? Yep…the consumer. Not just financially, though those costs will be passed along, but in access to technology as well.
scott – and those costs are passed along to the consumer.
