Hypoglycemia?
Do people with hypoglycemia go into little "spells" where they act all weird and sort of like a two year old?

My husband told me that he had a mild case of diabetes but that it was nothing to worry about. Today when I looked in the fridge I saw some of those little insulin bottles. Was he lying to me? Does diabetes need to be severe to need insulin?
Which test is better?
I’ve heard that the ingredients in splenda is the result of onion sugars and chlorine combined. Is this true? Do you know where the ingredients are derived from?
I’m talking anywhere within a 2 year time frame from the shots
I have a client that I take care of. Every morning when I first come in I check her blood sugar. It’s always very high… about 300 or more. All she drinks is two cups of coffee and eats a banana. Could the banana be bringing her sugar way up or could it be something else? She takes one insulin shot in the mornings after I get there.
My husband, age 39, just had a heart attack last Tuesday. Upon recovery, we were informed that he is a diabetic as well. We have been given a meter, called OneTouch Ultra 2. The meter was free, but the stips are costing us a fortune. Does anyone know of another brand of strips that are more economic that will fit this meter? Our insurance will not cover the cost of the strips. Thanks!
What non-monomer molecule is produced in order for two amino acids, glucose, DNA molecules to form a biological dimer?
If you measure the first drop then wipe and immediately measure a second drop I found my reading is 20 to 50 points lower. The instructions say to always take the second drop but I’ve ingnored until now. My readings were higher than the doctor’s office and now I know why. Why does the first drop have more glucose? Is glucose secreted through your skin oils?
Anyone notice how they talk a big game about airport security, but they actually don’t do anything…I just flew from Boston to LA and back last week. Now Im an insulin dependant diabetic, and need to take my diabetic supplies with me on board, however, they don’t even question the fact that I have a backpack full of needles and vials, that really could be filled with anything…ontop of that, on my way back I didn’t have time to check my suitcase and had all my bathroom supplies *toothpaste, colon, nail clipper, ect…) with me and they say, no sharp objects and no liquids with more than 3 ounces..but again no problem..all of this stuff went through the x-ray machines…what good is taking my sandles off if I can get through with needles and vials of what could be anything! Don’t get me wrong I don’t want a cavity search before i get on, but they could at least make me show them my stuff to make sure…
haha, sorry cologne
I have very low blood sugar so everymorning I kinda feel like I’m about to die does this turn into anything over time?
Im going to the Mall of Acadiana today, and I need to know the nutritional information for either McDonalds, Chick-fil-A, or Quizno’s. I am a picky eater, and most web sites only have nutrition information for lets say a burger with everything on it. What is a good website where I can choose what goes on my burger, salad, etc., and then get the nutritional information?
I’m 17, and i take insulin for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and bedtime (Novolog and Lantus). I ALWAYS take my insulin. But I’m just curious- how long would a diabetic last without it? Say, for example, a terrible natural disaster happened. How long would i last when my insulin supply runs out?
