I am diabetic injecting insulin and would like to know?
Can my insulin production be known? Which vegetable, herb can substitute artificial insulin (medicine). Doctors in the whole world have never come up with any medicine to enable impaired pancreas produce insulin?

All the symptoms I’ve found online are very broad..are there any specific ones? Can diabetes weaken one’s immune system?

My son has been going to an endocrinologist for several years as he has CF related diabetes and takes only 1 injection of Lantus per day. His endocrinologist retired or died recently and they have not replaced him. Is this something a regular doctor can do? He is 14 going on 15.
He gives himself a shot everyday. I was referring at to whether or not a regular GP could write the prescriptions or if we really needed to go to an Endo. There is a horendous waiting list for the Endo doctors and really since his condition is so mild and he just takes a maintenance dose daily why not a regular doc. I just wasn’t sure if he could or not. If his condition progresses we will most certainly use a specialist.

I’m doing a nutrition project on eating disorders and I need good information on the diseases and how they cause nutritional problems for the individual.

How does dehydration of glucose and fructose (some kind of sugar) take place? Electrons in -OH attack a carbon in another sugar molecule? I’d like to know the chemical mechanism of dehydration synthesis step by step.

I kept telling my Dr. I felt bad, then I bought a glucose monitoring system, and I wake up at about 40 and have not been over 90 all day, and I have eaten, unless I chug large amounts of oj and eat peanut butter it wont rise is this some condition or a symptom of something?

Which one will make my blood sugar levels high faster?

I had a herniated disc in L3 that was a far lateral and difficult to find and remove in laproscopic surgery where the surgeon needed to move and manipulate the nerve to remove the disc material . And I cannot have PT for 3 more weeks as it has only been 3 weeks since the operation and my pain level is still quite high -perhaps 7 on a scale of 1-10. Perhaps I am impatient but life has become somwhat miserable.

every once and a while i get really faint and i need to eat something… but i my blood tests all were negative….so can my blood sugar level sometimes get low?

I noticed when my hands are cold this is especially the case. I have tried deeper pricks, also warming my hand, swinging my hands to get the blood flowing to no avail. This is costly too because if it’s not enough blood my meter does not work. Today I tried three times failure every time. I’m 60 years of age does this have any effect?

My husband has diabetes and we have heard that cinnamon pills help metabolize sugar. Any truth to it or is it a myth?
