or at least cheap supplies? i’m planning on moving there next summer i’ll be 18 and i’m a type one diabetic. i’m going to be living with my aunt until i can afford an apartment for myself. i’ll have no job when i get there so i have to have my diabetic supplies until i have a job that offers health insurance.

my mom has diabetes for about 12 years now and it hurts me to see how she struggles everyday and takes insulin, when she had me, she started to have diabetes and i am so lucky to have my mom alive because being pregnate while having diabetes is a huge risk. i am really close to having diabtes since my mom had them while i was in her stomach and i’m very scared for my me and my mom. i just wish that there will be a cure fr diabetes someday….do you think there will be a cure?

7 yrs post op, and experiencing neuropathy that has progressed from feet up to arms to lips and forhead. Iron levels are fine, B12 levels are within range, D levels are very low but trying to get them up. What else could cause the malabsorbion neuropathy?

I just injected myself with 10 units of R-insulin. I’m not diabetic. What will happen? I just ate dinner- I had a ton of sugary things…
actually regular takes about 2 hours to cause hypoglycemia so if I had time to write this question it means that it hasnt been 2 hours yet.
I’m not tryign to get high either. and i really dont knwo why I asked this… i knwo whatll happen anyway. I’ll get hungry and my blood sugar’ll drop to the 50s and then it’ll start going up on its own.

I am hoping to train a dog over the course of the next few years to be a diabetic alert dog- sensing low and high blood sugars.

What breed of dog would work best for this? I am hoping to be able to rescue one, not buy.

I have had Type 1 diabetes since April, and, prior to my diagnosis, I weight 10st. Now I weight 10st 10lbs, and I would really like to lose some weight. I already go to the gym and exercise, but I’m really finding that insulin makes me put on weight. Has anyone got any tips on how to lose weight?

N.B-I’m a vegetarian, and I obviously can’t cut out carbohydrates.

I gave my urine test in but I changed my diet to taking less sugar before that and now reverted to my normal diet. I don’t know why but I did. Would that change the result.

had a blood sugar count down to 40 and passed out in the floor unconscious.Is it normal to pass out when its that low.She is diabetic and had gastric bypass surgery about a month ago

My grandmother is a severe diabetic. However, her one joy is to eat out at restaurants. What and where can I take her that she will enjoy and not put her blood sugar through the roof!

I think I have low blood pressure because I feel dizzy and light-headed and my nausea has gotten worse over the last few days. It seems to help if I constantly munch on fruit. Does low blood sugar aggravate low blood pressure, or what?

i hope soo. although, i’m doing good with my diabetes right now;; i’m just wishing.

personally, i don’t believe that there will be a cure in my lifetime. )= sadly.

what i also believe, is that since there are soo many different trees and plants in the rainforest that have been used to cure many different diseases;; i believe that there is a tree or plant out there with the one thing needed to cure diabetes, people are just doing a bad job at finding it.

& i think its pretty selfish that all the donations and fundraisers at my school are for cancer. i have NEVER seen one for diabetes;; except for walk for diabetes.
